I really enjoyed the first version of this song, but was really surprised by the second version with Hank Jr. Not only did they clean up the language, but the sound is fuller and rounder. I like the arrangement much better. When you compare the two, the original version sounds like it was recorded in someone's garage and the second one sounds more like a professional studio. The vocals sound completely different in this version. I also like the fact that the lead singer sings the entire song (including the rap verse). The guy singing the rap verse in the original sounds like a chipmunk. The vocals are really in great form in this version. I think the band should stay in Nashville and get some help from some seasoned songwriters and producers and they could put out a really good album.
