4 out of 5 stars Entertaining as heck.   August 25, 2008

I'm impressed with Simpson's vocals on this track. I'm a moderate country fan, I prefer the more POP sounding country. Usually, however, one compromises talented vocals for good sound/instrumentation: This song breaks that "mold". Job well done by Simpson and the songwriters.

I think more pop artists should enter into other genres.

Jessica has success in pop and tv, country is just the next frontier. Jessica has always known where she came from and we, in Texas, love her for that! For every person who isn't capable of appreciating your talent, three more will follow you from Pop. No worries, just another hurdle you will overcome! We're right here with you!

1 out of 5 stars SHE'S FOUND HER NICHE!   July 21, 2008

It's about time that Jessica Simpson found her niche. Couldn't cut it in the world of rock so Jessica goes...COMEDY! This song, hardly a Country offering, is the funniest thing since Bill Cosby's "TO MY BROTHER RUSSELL, WHO I SLEPT WITH!" Besides, Jessica is far too savvy a businessperson to attempt something as ludicrous as launching a career in a new musical genre without a voice! And you thought she was serious! Ha!

But then, Jessica Simpson has always been hilarious! I recall her sterling performance on Letterman a few years back. She performed a comic rendition of "THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKIN'" that still has me laughing uncontrollably. And the same is true of "COME ON OVER!" Yes, it's about time a comedienne of Simpson's magnitude found her niche!

I heard this song and could not believe it when the DJ said it was Jessica Simpson! I love it! I hope she will stick with country and stay far, far away from that crappy pop she used to "sing".

Jessica has finally found her niche. She sounds completely at home singing country music. The gal is from TX, of course this is the right genre for her!! Way to go Jess!
