Its a truck driving song May 2, 2008 J. D. Pizanti (Northern VA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This song isn't what you want if you're in a hurry or looking for energy music. I don't normally admit I'm originally from California, but it has some bearing on this review in that I like long music. No, I don't smoke dope. I just like it when musicians find their groove, play that funky music and rock on! I have a buddy who's a truck driver and I can just picture him describing this song as it just works and its there.

... I chose not to download. Winwood is a man of timeless talents; his voice, in particular, is one that I find to be a treasure. From the 30 seconds that I heard, however, this song goes nowhere; the groove is limp and the melody weak. To some extent, I agree with a previous reviewer: Unfortunately, this has happened before with Stevie (and moreso with Clapton) - wasting considerable talent on tepid material. I won't go as far to say that it happens with all "aging" rockers all the time - an example of the opposite: McCartney's "Chaos & Creation..."
Ho Hum April 30, 2008 Guy DeRome (Greendale, USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Yes, all the elements are there: Winwood's voice, the organ, Clapton's guitar...yet...not much happens. It sounds good; it feels good, but...nothing. There are maybe two main musical ideas here that could have filled up about 2 and a half minutes just fine. But the song never goes anywhere and it really seems like they are just going through the motions of putting all the expected elements together. Unfortunately, this is pretty typical these days of old rockers trying to come up with something relevant. If this is representative of the album, I'll pass.

Winwood's voice, the Hammond B3 organ, Clapton's riffs, and rolling drums make for a wonderful extended track reminiscent of Traffic.
