Nice to see new music DRM Free! May 28, 2008 Astrotrain (USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
A very different path of new music to explore down from the day to day hip-hop, grunge, or whiny teenager sound. The Plain White T's offers a nice relaxing song to take 4 mins out of your day to relax to.
And glad to see that this new tune is DRM-Free! Thank you Amazon!
Delilah Must Be A Great Girl March 17, 2008 Andrew Kutz (The Vast Desert Subtropolis of Gilbert, Arizona, USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I first heard this song in Harkins Theaters in the pre-show music. That was in Summer 2007 when I saw, like, fifteen movies. It got stuck in my head and I love it.
What else can I say?
Simple But Sweet... And Memorable February 24, 2008 Flap Jackson (State Road, NC) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Cinderella story out of nowhere, from 2007, this little song strikes a chord with audiences. A simple lovesong about a girl named Delilah, nothing more nothing less, yet, the lyrics and vocals and overall musical tone to the song makes it a staple for Valentines Day, perfect for any girl named Delilah, and this will be one of the hits you remember 20 years from now, coming out of the 2000's. And the music video is the same as well, simple, yet well put together.
Plain Acoustic Music February 18, 2008 Amaranth (Northern California) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
"Hey there Delilah" has struck a chord with its simple acoustic setting&plain wholesome love theme. It's not the usual overproduced bubblegum trash that passes as music. "Hey there Delilah" is filled with innocent idealism&hope for the future. It's about love that lasts a lifetime, instead of a one-night stand. It's an ode to commitment. Yes,"Hey there Delilah" has its drawbacks--it's overplayed, and it's slightly whiny (especially with the "what you do to me" refrain),but it shows that the Plain White T's have promise. The Plain White T's have plain,old-fashioned potential!
Great Little Tune! January 25, 2008 Steve G. Garrison (Alexandria, AL United States) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I first saw this tune on MHD. A pretty good video also. It's catchy with really good phrasing and a minimalist approach. Not much going on but acoustic guitar. It's a great lovesong ballad but don't expect a whole lot more from this group. I dl'd other stuff by them and found it all basically unlistenable. Very analogous to Extreme/More than words. Great song but nothing else behind it.
