5 out of 5 stars Different Reason   November 28, 2007

People like songs for different reasons. For me, a song that touches my heart always takes me to the time and place for which the song holds it's reason.

At the time this song was popular, I had just learned that two of my three dogs were terminally ill. Emmy, who had been with me for 13 years, laid with me night after night...till she left.

It may sound silly to rate a song based on the emotional involvement with a pet...but why not? She was a part of my life through many ups and downs...and I played this song at her funeral. This song will forever be a part of my playlist.

"All that I am, All that I ever was- is here in your perfect eyes...
They're all I can see".

4 out of 5 stars Sometimes A Song   November 3, 2007

Often, there are times a song can touch you simply from the heart. When it comes to Snow Patrol, they had struggled for years trying to make it happen in the underground scene. But, their breakthrough song, Chasing Cars from their album Eyes Open, was one of the most soulful songs released in 2006. I like this song because it simply comes straight from the heart, and is just a very simple song. I also hope they don't get classified as a one hit wonder either, the guys feel like they actually have something else up their sleeves soon.
