Amazing! November 29, 2008 Tamara Talsma (Chicago) Addictive brilliance! This guy is a genius. I highly recommend the album "Derty". I look forward to his future creations.
Unique, Masterful, and Fun October 27, 2008 J. Lin From the dope beats to the hilarious rap on 56k, this album has been a breath of fresh air. Unique is a good way to describe it. Original is another. I found this after hearing a song on Pandora. This has been about the 20th CD I have bought based on hearing only one song off of Pandora. It is that accurate. (After using the website for over 2 years). Ronald, can't wait till the 2nd album drops!
Amazing May 29, 2008 MARCUSHELBLINZ (St. Louis, MO USA) I love this cd. This guy can make the perfect beats. He is new and original and doesn't stop trying to make his sounds better. I highly recommend this cd to anyone who loves music. And even if you don't I suggest starting out with Ronald Jenkees. He is just so good.
Keep your eye on this one May 9, 2008 Shawn Stuart (Indiana) Behind that unassuming and endearingly goofy persona is a musical genius with a very good instinct for goosebump-inducing melodic progressions. The contrast between his etherealy beautiful compositions and his seemingly awkward demeanor adds to the already highly enjoyable Jenkees experience. My personal favorites from this album are Derty, Clutter, Super-Fun, Loui, Gold Spinners and Almost Undamaged. You see that? How I have a hard time picking only one or two favorites? This album really is just that good. If you're not into the synthesized sound, this might not be up you alley, though it has been known to convert a few former synth haters. Funny enough, he did two covers in this album, yet they aren't really so great compared to the rest. What I'm saying is the material Ronald composes himself is even better than Canon in D and the Rocky Theme. He's so tallented, he sells himself short when he does covers! The ad-libbing he does on YouTube does not have as much of a strong presence here. While this has a more polished feel to it than his YouTube material, I kind of miss it. I'm hoping he'll have more freestyle stuff in his next album coming out this summer, which I think promises to be even better than this one judging by what he's saying will go into it. Watch this man. He's refreshingly not aloof in the slightest and has a great attitude. He'll at the very least be composing for movies, video games and commercials in the near future.
I love this music May 4, 2008 Josh N. Dalton this is just what everyone needs. hip hop with some soulfull music. I'm not big on lyrics. Ronald is the man!
