3 out of 5 stars A Turning Point for O.A.R.   January 5, 2009
R. Heaton (Mission Viejo, CA)
This album is a huge turning point for O.A.R. most reviews I have seen read similar to this just more wordy and less up front:

"This CD is a very radio ready pop departure for O.A.R. While traditional fans will likely be disappointed by the departure, many new fans may find the pop-style rock songs appealing."

Basically if you want a Stroke 9 album, go pick one up. For the rest of us, let's just pray that we get our reggae rock band gods back on their next album.

4 out of 5 stars Pleasant surprise   October 28, 2008
Riggo (Bloomington, IN USA)
I'm old school....I still buy whole albums because I'll hear one song on the radio or somewhere. And most times, I'll find a song better than the one I bought the whole album for. This CD no exception. Some good hooks on some of the songs. Sure, a couple of duds but in general a very good disc.

5 out of 5 stars I LOVE this CD!   September 27, 2008
Listener (Fairfield, CT)
Yup, like every other band out there, OAR's sound is evolving. Same as "In Between Now and Then" had a very different sound from "Souls Aflame", this one has a very different sound from either. What's unmistakably OAR, however, is the band's writing. Anybody who was dissapointed that "Stories of a Stranger" included so few OAR originals is going to LOVE this one. Thirteen OAR songs, all brand new!
I'm listening to this one, start to finish without skipping over anything, over and over....and over....and over....

5 out of 5 stars Fun and full of hope   September 21, 2008
W. Vriens (Holland)
What we have here is the last new from OAR.
Many people consider this a to commerial album with too many radio friendly songs.
There is indeed a little less reggae and jam but through the songs you hear what they made in the past.
They have grown and i realy like this album, i rate it a 8 because of the quality songs and the great production.

MY FAVES

The first song THIS TIME has a really catchy melodie and you will notice that you've been whisteling this tune for days.
SHATTERED is a great lead singel, with again a sticky melodie.
WHAT IS MINE has that groovy reggae feel to it, feels like a hot summer day.
ONE DAY is a really great, great feelings in the voice and lov the chorus of the song.
The rest of the songs are also good, but these were my favorites.

Just found this group off of XM radio and bought their CD from Amazon since I couldn't find it in stores anywhere. I really enjoy the CD and the group.
